I really like IPSA skin care — their Metabolisers, Time Reset line and Preparing Clear Lotion 2 are really good! ヾ(´▽`*)ゝあーい♪ — but IPSA makeup on the other hand… I’ve liked some and been equally meh about some, sadly. (I would still like to try more though. (≧ω≦。)

I was disappointed with the other Face Colour I own, E513 Crystal Rose (even though I’m still faithfully using it everyday (*`▽´*)ウヒョヒョ), but this one, also from Spring 2008’s Delicious Recipe collection, is slightly better. It’s also possibly the darkest blush I own at the moment… w((´ω`))wワオッ!!

It’s a medium raspberry pink with some fine shimmer. (The shimmer looks metallic-y reddish pink to me, but doesn’t show up unless you tilt the pan and squint hard. The IPSA website describes it as a moderate pink with blue pearl. I swatched it at the counter previously ← this might be more accurate because it was taken in natural light.

With flash:

I like the colour a lot. Enough to go back to the counter the day after swatching it to bring it home. (I think I just have a general weakness for this type of pink though. (ノω`*)んふふ♪) To me this is a fresh, youthful colour. It’s a little cute and a little girly. 。 When used it brightens the face up.

It’s pigmented enough for one swipe to show up. (I’m about an NC20, I think.) I usually use 1-2 swipes. The powder adheres well and blends smoothly. I can still see my blush when I remove my makeup at the end of the day so it wears quite well.

But it has the same problem as E513 Crystal Rose. The powder is pressed loosely so there’s a lot of flyaway powder. o(`ω´*)oフン!!! Most of my blushes look unused, but not this one (despite it being one of my lesser used ones). The texture is better than E513 Crystal Rose — less crumbly and not grainy — but I think that’s more due to the lack of chunky shimmer bits than anything else.

This is a permanent colour, but I probably wouldn’t buy it unless you really like IPSA (like I do).
