GRANSENBON is a japanese drugstore brand with some very pretty blushes. ♡＾▽＾♡ (it’s their most famous product :P) warning(?)! they all contain some degree of shimmer. ヾ（*´∀`*）ﾉ゛ｷｬｯｷｬ i find them a little expensive for a drugstore product, but the quality is good. i think their blushes are comparable to those from department store lines, and they have a good selection. (i can’t find the enthusiasm to like brands that have maybe only four blush colour options 囧) GRANSENBON blushes also come with a handy little brush and mirror in the case, which is convenient if you’re wanting to bring it out or don’t have a separate blush brush.
i picked up shades 02 and 07, both of which are pink shades. for swatches of some of the other available shades, please click here.
i’m still playing around with both colours, but so far i’m liking 02 more though they’re both pretty and i’m happy i got them. (＊´ω｀人´∀｀＊) 02 is a paler, more muted shade of pink than 07 and somehow makes my skin look fairer when applied. (≧∇≦)ｷｬｰ♪ whereas 07 applies a little peachy on me. i got asked “are you wearing orange blush?” so not quite the look i was after! 囧
i think i was too heavy handed here, so they look very similar. but they’re really not! the swatch on tissue is more accurate i think.
like the other GRANSENBON blushes, these are pigmented. one swipe is enough for colour to show up on my cheeks. they’re also long wearing and last me through the day with little fading. although i suspect 07 oxidises… 囧
the powder is nicely textured, and in my opinion as good as department store offerings. the shimmer particles are fine and generally don’t show up when applied. i get very annoyed with flyaway powder, but with GRANSENBON blushes it’s very minimal. they’re also easy to blend.
to be honest i have no idea what the included brush is like. 囧 i’m used to ignoring included brushes (some of them are truly terrible and they’re generally just small and fiddly) and using my own cheek brush. i also have a tendency to buy brands that don’t include brushes. plus, i’m such a klutz that the few times i used an included brush, it slipped out of my fingers and fell into the sink. ORZ
i bought these in Singapore from Watson’s for $29.95 each.
