SONIA RYKIEL poudre hydra lisse 11g 4,200円 (税込)
treatment powder foundation
SPF20 PA++ 5 shades
the case (which also includes a sponge) is sold separately (1,575円 incl. tax) so i didn’t buy it. （´▽｀*）ｱﾊﾊー i use the big egg-shaped SONIA RYKIEL sponge for application.
i bought this when i was loving all (makeup) things SONIA RYKIEL. (≧∇≦)ﾉ彡 バンバン! i’m still interested in trying more makeup items from the line, but the fervour has cooled off a little. (thank goodness! v(＠∀＠)v) i don’t use powder foundation much, but when i was checking @cosme for reviews on their water-gel and cream foundations there were more positive reviews for this powder foundation than the other two. after using it, i have to agree with the glowing reviews… it’s really good and i’m very happy i bought it! ゎｰｨ♪ヽ(*´∀｀)ﾉ
the new refill has “SR” embossed in the centre but after a few uses it’s mostly worn off.
although i only use it dry, it’s actually a two-way cake and can be used wet as well. but i’m very happy with how it performs dry, so i’ll just be using it as a normal powder foundation.
unlike the other SONIA RYKIEL foundations i’ve tried which can be rather picky, this is an easy foundation to use. v(｡･ω･｡)ｨｪｨ♪ it doesn’t require much skill in application as it’s easy to blend and also adheres well to the skin. the foundation creates a smooth, natural finish and adds translucence to the skin… even when my application method is closer to “random swipes” than “method”. 囧
the powder is very finely milled with a smooth, silky texture. and also quite moist. my skin isn’t very dry at the moment (hot, humid weather here) so i’m not sure how it’ll perform in dryer weather, but it doesn’t cake or emphasise fine lines on my undereye area, which is the driest bit of my face. oil control isn’t really there although with the right combination my face stays oil free most of the day, but it’s a moist powder so that’s to be expected i suppose. but as it still looks good after oiling up i don’t mind the (lack of) oil control.
coverage is good <— very important to me 囧 it covers my facial redness and also undereye circles without looking thick and creating an overly made up appearance. the smoothing effect of the foundation is quite obvious too and helps to disguise and minimise the appearance of large pores.
this foundation doesn’t oxidise on me.
the shade numbering is kind of strange though. (＊´д｀)?? according to the shade chart on the official website, 10 is the lightest and pinkest shade, but it doesn’t look significantly pinker than the other shades to me. 囧 20, the shade i use, is next in intensity and has the most yellow undertones. 30, 40 and 50 have neutral undertones and are darker than 10 and 20. 30 is probably the “normal” shade as this is what the samples seem to come in.
