CHANEL Le Vernis (505 Particuliere)
29 December, 2010 § 4 Comments
In all probability this is going to be the last post of the year, so here’s to wishing everyone a happy new year.

CHANEL Le Vernis 13ml
Particuliere was released for Spring this year, and is already almost a classic (and perhaps you will argue it is a one already). I’m not sure if it’s a limited edition shade (my original impression) or has made the permanent lineup. The colour in the bottle and on my nails — they’re identical — is a warm greyed brown with no shimmer. It’s a mousy colour but (somehow) it’s beautiful (opinions may vary). It’s a shade that is classic, elegant, stylish, but never boring. For me it’s the colour I turn to when I’m tired of pale pinks, peaches and beiges yet want something neutral and unostentatious.

This is opaque in one coat, and the formula is typical CHANEL (including its tendency towards chipping).
… And I’m off to werk my live stream, may it cooperate.
Yay! Chanel 505 Particulière is one of my absolute favorite nail polishes ever!
I find the shade to be really unique, although there are lots of muddy taupe brown nail lacquers available from other brands now.
Ooh! It really is a lovely shade. I’m quickly falling in love with mine too. ;P
This does seem to be the year of muddy nail colours, but I have to admit I wasn’t really keen on the idea of muddy browns until I saw the swatches for Particuliere. :D;;; Hmm, yeah, I don’t think I’ve seen an exact dupe for Particuliere yet either.
this is a lovely shade!! a little like opi You Don’t Know Jacques! just chanced upon your blog and you have a wonderful blog here! XD
happy new year!
This probably makes me sound like a weirdo in the land of nail polish, but I had to google OPI’s You Don’t Know Jacques — I’m not familiar with OPI shades at all — and you’re right, they do look similar! :D
Happy (belated) new year to you too. :) And thank you for stopping by. :)
ps. I noticed from your blog you love Arashi. Once upon a time I was a crazy Matsujun fangirl, haha. XDDD
